Story

My mum was taken ill and taken to Hospital on the 29th July 2021, she was placed on palative care on Thursday 5th August and passed away on 10th August. Leaving us all devastated and not understanding how she was taken from us so quickly!!  How does a fit and what we thought a healthy mum, pass so quick!

Bladder cancer is known as a silent killer.

More funding and research is desperately needed.

Please give anything you can, every little donation really does and can make a difference

Bladder cancer is not a rare cancer - it is of the ten most common cancers in the UK - that's 4% of all new cases.Over 20,000 people are diagnosed each year, and many of those will die. Despite this, there is very limited public awareness of the disease and it is a low priority on the public health agenda. Treatments have changed very little over the past 30 years and research is seriously underfunded. Bladder cancer has been called a 'Cinderella' cancer. ABC UK is dedicated to changing this and to giving bladder cancer patients a voice.

About the charity

We are a national charity established in 2009 - led by patients and bladder cancer experts (clinicians, nurses, researchers) working together to raise awareness of bladder cancer, improve outcomes for patients, improve and fund research and improve patient support.
