Marie Curie offers support and care for individuals and their families after a terminal diagnosis, be it dementia, cancer, motor neurone disease, heart failure, Parkinson's disease, or any other illness.
During difficult times, Marie Curie offer a lifeline when you feel like the world around you is caving in. Whether it be hands on nursing care, being a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, someone else to take over for a while, Marie Curie nurses are there for all the family.
To try to raise both awareness and as much money as possible, we are preparing to take to the hills and climb Scafell Pike on Saturday 7th September. The climb will be especially poignant for Sarah who lost her husband, Ian, to cancer in 2011. The 7th September is also their wedding anniversary and it will be a lovely way to celebrate his memory.
Your donation can help in so many ways including:
£20 pays for one hour of vital nursing for someone living with a terminal illness in the comfort of their own home
£90 pays for half an evening’s care in a person’s home when they need it most
£180 provides nine hours of nursing support in someone’s home through the night giving the expert care and comfort families need
Thank you very much for your support for this fantastic cause. Your donation truly means so much to Sarah and me personally and, more importantly, to Marie Curie.
Your support can help change lives.
