Campaign by Crisis (RCN 1082947)
The Thames Bridges Trek heads through the heart of London, taking in unrivalled views of the skyline, zig-zagging over historic bridges each with its own fascinating story, and raising money for Crisis, the national charity for homelessness.

Story

We all deserve a safe, stable place to live. But we are not protecting this basic human need for 236,000 people in Britain experiencing the worst forms of homelessness. Homelessness is devastating, dangerous and isolating. On average, people sleeping on the streets are almost 17 times more likely to have been victims of violence, 9 times more likely to commit suicide, and the average age of a rough sleeper is just 47 years old. Crisis work directly with thousands of homeless people every year, providing vital help so that people can rebuild their lives and are supported out of homelessness for good. Crisis offer one to one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales. This could be help with finding a home, getting new skills and finding a job, or support with their health and wellbeing. Together with homeless people and Crisis supporters, they campaign for the changes needed to end homelessness for good.
