With support, every community has the potential to thrive. Our aim is to help build a foundation for the communities we support to achieve economic independence, to develop sustainable infrastructure in areas such as healthcare and water, and to improve the quality of life for all those in need.

Story

thank you for visiting my website

so what did I achieve........ well for me it was a personal best of 102 miles over 5 days (day 2 I cycled 30 miles which was 15 more than ever before) just over 10 hours of cycling and a top speed of 21.7 miles per hour and let me tell you the down hill was the worst part give me up hill any day......... my hands are still sore from gripping the brakes on the way down!!!

the most amazing part of the adventure was the people not only my team mates many of whom helped me survive the down hills but the Kenyans who were fascinated by the group - the school children all ran to the roadside to encourage us chanting their favourite saying "how are you?" it was tremendously uplifting. I truly enjoyed the six days I spent seeing the projects, meeting the village elders and teachers of the nursery schools to discuss their needs. I even bartered with one of the elders over their contribution to a new bore hole for his village - we settled on a goat! (animals define your wealth in Turkana)

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support of New Ways work The money will be used to fund the building of new dams and other water related projects - more details will follow when the total is finalised. Access to water is critical in Turkana and makes a big difference to people's lives.

with very best wishes
Angela
