I am once again running for The Christies, this time Derek is running as well, he has not done a 10k run so this is a first for him, this time the difference is that I am running in memory of both friends, Moira and Vicky as well as many family members. Last year I was running in memory of Moira and for Vicky. Sadly Vicky lost her fight with cancer in October, she was 41 no age, she had been so strong and survived for over 4 years, all the time being very brave and strong. It was a very sad day when her parents sent me a message to tell me that she had lost her battle, I found it very hard to cope with, imagine how her parents must have felt, Vicky touched so many people's heart, her funeral had such a large turn out. Moira left behind a husband and 4 children, the youngest were twins, only 17 years old when she died, she missed out on their 18th and all the big events that will happen in the coming years. They are missed so much, not only by me but by all the loved one that they left behind. There are other people that we know you are suffering at the moment and hopefully a cure will be found before its too late.

Cancer is such a hard thing to live with but hopefully The Christies will come up with a cure so that less people suffer the pain and hurt that cancer leaves.
