Neuroendocrine Cancer UK exists to support and inform patients and families from diagnosis, enabling access to the best care and treatment, whilst stimulating Neuroendocrine Cancer research, increasing national awareness, and influencing improvements in outcomes.

Story

He's made me jump out of a plane and walk on fire, and this year, he's convinced me to join a group walking in the Glasgow Kiltwalk. So, on Sunday, the 27th of April, I will be taking on the Mighty Stride, all 23 miles of it, with supporters of Neuroendocrine Cancer UK.

Craig has been living with neuroendocrine cancer for 12 years now. Through this time he's always wanted to create awareness of this uncommon cancer. He supports other patients by raising funds to help Neuroendocrine Cancer UK, push for better research, treatment and support for those affected by it.

Here are some key facts:

6000 people every year are diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer in the UK. That's 1 person every 90 mins.

It takes on average 4.5 years for someone to be diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer from the first symptom.

More than 50%of people will have advanced stage neuroendocrine cancer(stage 3 or 4) at the time of diagnosis.

So I'm joining team Neuroendocrine Cancer UK to hopefully do my part and help them raise £15,000. I know times are difficult but it would mean the world if you could support me in this event.

Neuroendocrine Cancer UK receives no government funding, NHS funding or grants from large cancer charities. We are solely reliant on the generosity of members of our community to fund our ongoing work, to whom we are so grateful.
