Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page in memory of my baby girl Caitlin.

Caitlin suffered a brain injury during birth which left her severely disabled. She had most of the severe disabilities assosciated with cerebral palsy. She was unable to suck or swallow so I had to tube feed her. All 4 of her limbs were stiff so she needed lot's of physio. Caitlin had reflux so would be sick often. She also had epilepsy which gave her fits throughout the whole day. Caring for her was the most difficult time of my life, but as her Mum, I would have happily continued to do forever. Sadly Caitlin lost her battle and passed away 23rd October 2007 aged 13 months. Feel free to visit her online memorial at http://angelcaitlin.remembered-forever.org/ or http://angelcaitlin.gonetoosoon.co.uk.

Caitlin was on the list for the new Demelza hospice in Eltham. She never got to use it, however I am very aware of how important this service is, especially for those refused respite. Caring for a disabled or terminally ill child is a strain on all the family, especially siblings who lose out on quality time with Mum or Dad.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Demelza, Hospice Care for Children will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

I know that not everyone can afford to give lot's and I wouldn't want you too. But a small donation of £2 will build up and go towards helping this hospice with equiptment, aids and therapies.

I am planning some fund raising day's, and I am starting to train for next years London Marathon and a skydive. I hope I will have lots of support for this charity.

Many thanks for your kind donations

Rest in Peace Angel Caits, love you forever Mummy xxxxxxxxxxxxx
