Story

I started running 3 years ago and this will be 3rd Marathon race. Running in Paris will be beautiful and challenging too. I decided to raise money for a cause I truly believe.

Shout at Cancer is helping the thousands of people in the UK affected by throat cancer to rebuild their lives after laryngectomy (removal of the voice box). They run group workshops in singing, acting and beatboxing techniques with public performances, to improve communication, confidence and social engagement.

People like my dear friend Spyros, who have had this operation, benefit enormously from the opportunity to socialise with others who are in the same situation. They regain a sense of purpose and involvement - so necessary to overcome the social isolation which no longer having a normal voice can leave them with.

Shout at Cancer makes a real difference! I've been to many of their events and was so moved by the beautiful outcome of their work,

I just had to do something to make a contribution to this incredible cause!
