A Child Of Mine provides practical information, guidance and emotional support when a child dies, regardless of the age or circumstance of their death. We also work closely with the UK's leading healthcare professionals to improve the care they give to parents after the death of a child.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In July 2014 I will taking on a huge personal challenge to cycle from Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire to Sicily in Italy for A Child Of Mine.  This is going to be a tough challenge for me, both physically and mentally, but I am doing this to support a fantastic charity and the work they do to support families after a child has died.

Your support means a lot and every penny makes a big difference, please give what you can it only takes a minute.  You can also text NORO47 and the amount you want to donate to 70070.

EG: NORO47 £5 to 70070.

I have personal reasons for wanting to support this charity and I want to raise as much money as possible for A Child Of Mine.  So if you can help by donating any amount no matter how small, it will be gratefully received and I know will make a big different to the families they support in the future.

For example £25 will provide a parent with a complimentary therapy of their choice, £50 will provide one playgroup session for bereaved parents with other children, and £100 will provide a small grant to families after a child has died.

My bike and equipment have been kindly sponsored by Regus UK who provide Ready-to-go workspaces across the UK.  (www.regus.co.uk). I have already started training with the new bike and I am cycling over 2 1/2 hours per day to make sure I am ready for my solo ride in July. I will post updates and photos when I can during the ride so you can keep up to date on my progress.

Thank you so much for your support it means a lot!
