Anglesey Half Marathon · 4 March 2018 ·

At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Two years ago Lucy, Clare and myself ran the Anglesey Half together. Lucy was feeling well, the whole day was fantastic and memorable, at one point I remember Lucy saying that she wished that day would never end.

Last year I ran the Anglesey Half again, this time Lucy was too ill to run with me but she was there to support me despite being really ill, I will always keep the "Go Kevin!" placard that she and her friend Alice made for me.

This year I will run the Anglesey Half for the third time. This time Lucy won't be there in person, but her voice will be there, supporting me, and as I run, my mind will go back in time and memories and images of times spent with her will flow through my mind.

The last two years we raised money for The Brain Tumour Charity. This time I am switching it up a bit and supporting Clic Sargent, because they really helped Lucy a lot.
