Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am hoping to raise £6000 to take 10 students who are at risk of exclusion from education to Jamie's Farm. All of these students have had difficult upbringings and this plays a major role in their educational lives.
One way I feel we can engage these students is to take them to Jamie’s Farm. This is an educational intervention, set up by a former Teach First participant Jamie Fielden, which engages young people who are at risk of social or educational exclusion. Normally in groups of 10 students and 3 teachers, the young people spend a week engaging in farm work and a family atmosphere that includes cooking and eating together. Students will also be offered the chance to have some therapy. This would be something completely new for these students and chance to engage them on a level completely separate from school life.
