2018 Ride for Sight · 5 August 2018

Seeing is Believing is a global initiative to help eliminate avoidable blindness. We help bring affordable eye-care to some of the poorest communities in the world. We’re a collaboration between Standard Chartered Bank and the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).

Story

Seeing is Believing (SiB) is Standard Chartered's
global initiative to tack avoidable blindness and visual impairment.

We “Ride for Sight” to celebrate SiB' 15th anniversary
this year. Launched in 2003, SiB is a collaboration between Standard Chartered,
the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and leading
international eye health organisations. We have reached more than 163 million
people through medical interventions, health education and improved access to
eye care.

Standard Chartered has committed to raise USD100
million by 2020 through fundraising and the Bank's matching funds.

We are hoping to reach the USD100 million fundraising
target this year with your help!

The Ride for Sight Team will be cycling over 200 miles
from Saratoga Springs to New York City to celebrate the 15th anniversary and bring the fundraising over the USD100 million mark.

Day 1 - Saratoga Spring to Saugerties

Day 2 - Saugerties to West Point

Day 3 - West Point to NYC

The donations will be used to fund eye health projects
that range from providing comprehensive eye care in low and middle-income
countries to building innovative eye health delivery solutions.

We thank you for supporting the Ride for Sight team
and for helping us celebrate this 15th anniversary milestone for
SiB!

Thank you!
