The motivation behind this challenge is to raise money for this little known but invaluable charity which has been such a huge support to a very dear friend.  

In her own words ‘this charity blew away the cobwebs of fear and uncertainty and helped me digest and understand on so many levels what was happening to me’.  A dear friend who has faced many challenges but has embraced every one of them with a fortitude I can only aspire to. So for you and others who receive this life changing diagnosis... I’m walking across the Jordan Desert from the Dead sea to the ancient, hidden city of Petra, camping out under the star lit night.  I hope to raise £1000 so that this organisation can continue to support others who are diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma.

This walk has already brought its share of challenges, trying to keep up training throughout a pandemic and being rescheduled twice.  It really looks like this will happen now in April 2022 so training in earnest has really ramped up.
