Story

Welcome and Thank-you for visiting my fund raising page.

Hello again everyone!! Yes, I have completed my pilgrimage/charity walk. It is great to be back in the beautiful Towy Valley and see the family and friends again. My sincere thanks to all who have sponsored this walk and supported me during my 40 days away. Please note that you can still donate my cause.

I will be continuing with my blog(www.anitaswalk.co.uk) for a while yet and will keep ,everyone informed of how the funds that I have raised will be utilized by Cerebra.

My Pilgrimage/Charity Walk to Santiago De Compostela begins in Roncesvalles near the French border (northern end) and finishes some 520 miles later in Finisterre on the most westerly edge of Spain.

My walk is going to be challenging to say the least. I will be backpacking on average sixteen to eighteen miles daily. And those miles will be stretched across as many ups and downs and ups again as you can shake a walking stick at.............There will hopefully be some flat bits as well.  I will be walking for thirty three to thirty eight days in total with a rest day every Sunday. Sancho the Cerebra Bear will be my travel buddy.

You can get further details of my route and chart my progress as well as Sancho's on my now ready website anitaswalk.co.uk

The Cerebra Charity is based in my locality, Carmarthenshire, Wales to which they contribute personally, an aspect that appeals to me greatly and with which my fundraising will engage. Your donations will contribute to the following local projects:

a. Grant aid to individual families to buy specialist equipment for their children such as touch screen computers, specialist car seats, sensory toys and powered wheel chairs.

b. Funds for the upkeep and upgrading of Cerebra's Holiday Home in Hook, Pembrokshire, Wales. This home is let free to Cerebra members and provides much needed respite.

My charity walk is funded totally by Llewelyn Lewis Sennik; this ensures that all contributions go directly to my chosen projects for Cerebra.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cerebra-The Foundation For The Brain Injured Infant will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.

Best Wishes
Anita & Sancho the Cerebra Bear
