The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

A few weeks ago the CEO of my company (Treatwell) had the crazy idea of cycling to every European headquarter of the company and he's asked us to join him on the different stages.

Since I bike to work every day I thought 'how hard can it be' and signed up for the first leg - which will take us from London to Amsterdam in 4 days, covering 500 kms and lots of hills on the English side (thank god Holland and Belgium are flat).

I have since realised that biking to work every day and biking to Amsterdam are two very different things - but i've done my training and I think I am ready for the challenge.

Instead of biking just for fun, we have also committed raising money for the Prince's Trust in the process, which Treatwell has supported for a long time. The Trust aims to create brighter futures for young people aged 11 to 30 from disadvantaged backgrounds - empowering them to get into jobs, education and training. Many of the people they are helping are in, or leaving, care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health issues, or have been in trouble with the law.
