Story
Did you know that the BIble is the best sellling book of all time?. It remains the best selling book every year.
And yet there are still hundreds of thousands of people who either can't afford a copy, or get hold of one.
So, I'm partnering with The Bible Society for their Bike4BIbles Challenge to ride 300 miles during September. I'm planning on 10 miles per day.
Despite not having riden a bike (not very well) since I was about 9 years old, I'm going to give it a go!!!! and hope and pray that knees, hips and back hold up
Here's the plan:-
Step number 1 - get a bike.
Thanks to Dave and Anthony Guilor - both experienced amatuer cyclists - who have lent me a suitable bike. I don't think it is a good idea to be out on the open road - so I'll be taking on this challenge in the "comfort" of my own home. Now the training starts........ I've got 7 weeks to get up to speed. It's going to be fun. I've decided that I will "ride " accompanied by the music of some super Christian songwriters..... it will help enormously.
Step number 2 - practice and do it
I hope you will support me, because every donation you make will enable The Bible Society to
- take BIbles to people in prison,
- provide Bibles to families living as refugees in The Middle East
- distribute Bibles in rural China, where people are desperate to read God's word
