Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The last six months seem unreal. Annie was diagnosed with secondary bone cancer on the 2 October and passed away on 28 December. She experienced such pain like no other. When it was too much she was admitted to the cancer unit at Cheltenham hospital. After three weeks of trying to manage the pain and a course of radiotherapy, her consultant managed to get a bed at St Michael's Hospice. We didn't know at the time but this was the best move ever. We could not have predicted that she would spend the last 12 weeks of her life there.

The care was amazing. The knowledge and experience to make Annie as comfortable as possible was second to none. Annie had confidence in their ability which enabled her to deal with her illness with grace, acceptance and steeliness. Not only that they cared for us too.

This year is about us showing our thanks and appreciation. We wouldn't have been able to deal with everything without St Michael's Hospice and all the people we came to know and like.

So please help us raise as much money as possible this year. The aim is to raise enough money for a super duper bed that Annie was lucky to try out. However our ambitions are bigger than that so we keep raising money until the end of the year.

There'll be lots of opportunities for you to hang out with us, have fun and at the same time help us smash our target.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate.

Thank you all in advance for you ongoing support.
