RISE is a Brighton based domestic violence and abuse charity that has worked for 26 years to end all forms of violence and abuse against women, their families and those identifying as LGBTQ+. RISE stands for Refuge, Information, Support and Education; our strategic mission is: freedom from abuse and violence. We reach across Brighton & Hove, providing wrap-around services for adults and children on their recovery journey, following experiences of domestic abuse. Our essential services include specialist one-to-one therapy, therapeutic survivor groups, an LGBTQ+ refuge, work with children and families, as well as community engagement projects.

Jane and I are running the women's 8K Undercliff Run for RISE's annual fundraising event. It saddens us that our world still needs charities like this, but the fact is that we do, and their work is crucial and save lives. We figured if we did something we both enjoy together and you are able to support us by contributing to this really important charity then we all benefit!!
