Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have smashed my original personal challenge - walking 1million steps in 100 consecutive days to raise important funds for JDRF.   JDRF have provided me with invaluable support, training and assistance following my recent T1 diabetes diagnosis. My walking challenge began on Jan 1st giving me a positive focus for the new year (following a challenging 2020)

My new challenge - I HAVE WALKED 500 MILES!  (and I now walk 500 more!) - just be the dude to walk 1000 miles to boot T1 from my front door

"I will walk at least 1000 miles, in 100 consecutive days, involving over 2 million steps! '

(dinosaurs may have stolen my pancreas - but I can do this!)

My 100 day challenge also celebrates the centenary cellebration of the discovery of insulin - the biggest breakthrough in the history of T1 treatment.  There has been many technical innovations and research done since then that just could not have happened without  Banting's discovery.

I will be posting updates of my progress - and the adventures of my new dinosaur side-kick (this page will see many edits/updates as time passes)
