My son, Vincent, was diagnosed at the age of 18 months with a rare genetic condition called Brachyolmia Type 3, which means he has a type of dwarfism.  Unfortunately, this condition comes hand in hand with a number of health issues such as curvature of the spine, back and neck pain, hip dysplasia, limited mobility and arthritis in later life to name a few.  Although this condition is not life threatening, it is certainly life changing in many ways, which we are learning to deal with on a daily basis.  Now the age of 11, Vincent stands a proud 3 foot 8, and has an amazing and positive attitude towards life.  Throughout his childhood, we have felt quite alone in terms of support for Vincent, so coming across the charity Little People UK has given us hope that more awareness will be raised to make little people more accepted in society for the amazing people that they are.
