10k Urbanathlon Edinburgh 2010 · 30 May 2010
This year we decided to do something new to us. We chose a curious event called Urbanathlon to challenge ourselves in support of Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland.
Urbanathlon is a parkour-inspired 10km run with unusual obstacles. You not only run but also jump, crawl and climb. It is a fairly new event coming to Edinburgh only for the second time.
Many people take part in this entertaining event. Some take it easy and aim to finish while others race to win. We are driven by an ambition to get on our feet and start running regularly.
We are very happy that we can take advantage of the motivation carried by Urbanathlon and at the same time raise funds for such a important cause. Maybe by joining we can encourage other people to exercise and this way promote health and fitness to prevent heart problems.
If you want to know more about that run, visit this website, and don't hesitate to join us, it could be a great fun! The event is happening in Edinburgh on the 30th of May so if you are not running, come and watch us struggle through the endless obstacles of that twisted route! See you all there!
