Story
Last year I was a very inactive person. I couldn't run, didn't have a road bike and I had a fear of putting my face under water. Sport has never been my thing. I was challanged by friends to do a triathlon which I thought only crazy people did! I signed up for a gym and started training and calling myself a triathlete! After a few months I managed to complete it as one of the last people on the finish line. I was hooked. And I signed up for an Ironman which is 3.8km sea swim, 180km bike and a full marathon, cut-off time is 16h! It's absolutely crazy, I know! But I don't do things by halves...
When my father was 50 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He died a year later. I know how proud of me he would be for doing this and pushing boundaries.
I'd like to help people affected by this horrible disease and raise money for Tenovus. Please help me and make a donation.
As part of my training I'm also doing the following events this year:
Cotswolds Half Ironman 70.3, Mumbles Duathlon, Cardiff Half Marathon, Carmarthen Triathlon, Llanelli Triathlon, Swansea Triathlon, Tenby Long Course Weekend and will probably enter some more!
It will be a tough journey for me but enjoyable and definitely worth it!
My business Wolfestone will be 10 years old this year and we have committed to raise £10k for Tenovus. My Ironman fundraising is just a small part of it. Thank you for your kind donations.
