Story
Hello kind and lovely friends and family!
I'm wondering if you can help a girl out and spare some monies towards a wonderful charity that means a lot to me.
This weekend I’ll be running a half marathon with my friend Esrin in Liverpool. (Poor Esrin lol)
We are doing this for The Brain Charity.
Three years ago, one of my best friends Dads had a brain aneurysm whilst on holiday.
The fittest guy we know was flown home with a bleak prognosis, but against the odds he has pulled through with the help of Liverpool's incredible Walton Centre.
The road to recovery is ongoing but his laid back attitude and physical determination has seen him through the awful impact of covid isolation and a subsequent broken hip.
Taking one step at a time, he's learnt to walk again and now making home visits (something that was initially unimaginable).
The Brain Charity is amazing. It supports patients and their families (1 in 6 people have a neurological condition) with ongoing practical help and emotional support. From counselling and support groups to legal and welfare guidance, they provide invaluable support at a time of crisis.
It would mean the world if you could donate to this incredible charity. I know times are tight, but any donation you could offer would be so much appreciated.
Personally I am quite nervous about the run, so seeing any donations go in would give me a real boost to get across that finish line with inevitable breakdowns along the way 😂
Think of us on Sunday whilst you tuck into your roast dinner...and save me a roastie!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
