Back Story
So, most of you know in December I was diagnosed with a brain tumour (YES they did find a brain in there also). Honestly I classed myself as fitter than most and it was a massive shock! I was left with an impossible decision, neither of which are a ‘cure’

Option 1: ‘watch and wait’ approach. Monitor tumour regularly and control seizures with medication and let fate decide.

Option 2: Surgery – specifically a Craniotomy to ‘debulk tumour’.  I use the word ‘debulk’ because removing ALL cannot be done because of the position and configuration of the tumour. It is likely to  be associated with significant risk to neurological functions such as speech, movement(right side), integration of sensory info(right side ETC)

I say impossible decision, but my thoughts have never really wavered.  I’d rather be in control, than it be in control of me and then live with the hand i.ve been dealt as best I can.  So surgery route it is!

Understandably Covid has slowed this process down. If I’m honest its more the unknown that has messed with my head a little over lockdown, the over thinking ETC. The plan is to help keep me active and as fit as possible and take on 5K EVERY DAY challenge every day up to operation day and raise some money and awareness while doing so (before my brain turns to mush)

This is where YOU come in. On my bad days I cannot commit to 5k of anything. So I need some substitutes, you will be subbed in to do a 5K as and when required or could even join me if you want (social distancing rules apply) 

Theres no rules on 5K, walk, run, cycle ETC.
