On 17th October weather permitting, I will be taking part in a tandem skydive along with Lauren, Roise and Shannon. We've decided to raise money for Action Mental Health as it is a charity close to all of our hearts.

Each of us have our own reasons as to why this charity is important to us but for myself it's my own story. It's not something I would normally feel comfortable talking about to people outside my family and close friends but I have struggled with anxiety and depression for the past three years and it is charities like AMH that help people like myself and their families get through extremely difficult times. They get provide their support and services to help changes the lives of those living with ill mental health whilst also promoting awareness of mental health issues.

Mental health issues affect so many people in so many different ways, and we often don't see how much of an impact these issues can have on peoples lives. Through our skydive we hope to raise money for AMH but also raise awareness of mental health issues and remove the stigma around them and hopefully encourage people to know it's okay not to be okay.
