I'll be setting off from Clitheroe, UK on Sunday 18th September. From there, it should go Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden - hopefully in that order. So far, I've booked a ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam on the 21st September and a bus from Stockholm to Newcastle on the 29th October. Hopefully I'll even make it to Oslo, where my lovely friend Hedda lives and I'll be able to give my legs a bit of a rest.

I'll be camping, with a few hostels in the big cities, and my phone isn't the easiest to charge so we'll see how it goes with keeping you updated, but the aim is to cycle at least as many kilometres as pounds donated - I'm technically aiming to cover over 1000km but that feels a bit unlikely right now.

My mum wants to know where I'll be (probably because she's lent me her favourite bicycle), so I've made this page so she can see I'm still alive and stalk my Strava maps which should show where I am - maybe I'll even post some updates, we'll see.

Until recently I was the executive director of SolidariTee, a charity entirely run by volunteers which funds legal aid for refugees. If you want to support a small charity which empowers student activism whilst also ensuring your funds are used responsibly to help refugees gain long-term safety and asylum, chuck in a fiver. I'll cycle 5km for every fiver donated, so it's also a good way of making me stick to my commitment of cycling to Oslo.
