Students at Plymouth take on the Three Peaks Challenge for Unseen!

Story

Hello! In June 2021 I will be completing the National Three Peaks Challenge. I will be taking on the 3 highest mountains in the UK, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, with the aim to summit all three peaks in 24 hours!

The 26 mile trek, ascending 3,000m, is in aid of Unseen; a charity which is working towards a world without slavery. Modern-day slavery is the second biggest illegal trade globally, with more slaves now than they there were during the transatlantic slave trade. Slavery isn't a distant nightmare, its happening right now in every town, city and rural area of the UK. Unseen helps support victims of modern-day slavery through providing safe houses, counselling, and support. Unseen also tackles the root causes of modern slavery by teaching people how spot the signs and also influence the government to develop a strategic approach to support all victims and end modern slavery.

With my team at Plymouth Uni I will be completing fundraisers before June and doing my best to reach my target in these difficult times. Any donations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for reading,

Anna :)
