Anyone that knows me knows I try to out-do myself every year with increasingly crazy amounts of running and this year is no different. I've survived the Brighton & Liverpool Half Marathons and the Brighton & Edinburgh Marathons already (my ankle didn't quite hold out at Edinburgh alas).

Berlin and New York Marathons are coming up in September and November, and there are a few half marathons thrown in for good measure including the Great North run, the Royal Parks Half Marathon and the Great South Run. All of this, it would appear on a very dodgy ankle (yes I'm even trying for the sympathy vote, I have no shame!)

Epilepsy Research UK does such vital work and is a relatively small charity with not a lot of publicity and really does need every penny it can get in this rather difficult financial climate.

Working every day with people with epilepsy, I see the impact the diagnosis has not just on the patient but their loved ones - the treatment and management of epilepsy can often be as difficult and upsetting as the impact of the seizures themselves.

Epilepsy Research UK is working tirelessly to look for new treatments strategies and to further understanding of how epilepsy arises, how to treat it, and even how to prevent it. It can't do this without dontations from people like you.
