Please consider making a donation to help conquer stroke.

I would be extremely grateful for your kind generosity, encouragement and support via a donation made through this page which goes directly to The Stroke Association.

This is for a remarkable charity that impact stroke research worldwide, improve stroke rehabilitation immeasurably and have proven to my family that patient care is paramount.

Sincere thanks for all donations received and to any further sponsorship thank you in advance

Challenges completed to date;

2km - Tough terrain muddy obstacle race  - Just 9 years young, my son Taylor Joshua wanted to help raise money for the charity close to our families heart ♥️ Taylor competed in a 2km tough terrain, muddy obstacle course and smashed his way through the finish line of a very competitive race 🏁  Amazing effort and team spirit throughout, which continued in his determination to cheer others on to the finish line when he had finished too. Asking him how he felt it went, the response was; 'Mum, forget I said it would be eeeasy from the start'.

106k (66 miles) Isle of Wight Challenge The roads throughout this challenge were endless - the scenery could have been painted it had beautiful windmills, idyllic nature surrounded and the light up of thunder and rain was kind of refreshing whilst passing the sea. A sunset, moon reflections and a bright sunrise all contributed to the success in keeping the legs moving ♫

My message was picked up by the media including local newspapers and being invited to attend a live interview on BBC Radio Solent to raise awareness for the Stroke Association with the organizers of Action Challenge calling in to promote the Isle of Wight Challenge 66 miles ツ Job done.

100k (62.4 miles) London-Brighton Challenge Seeing the finish line with an apt song blaring;  ‘The Wombats ‘Moving to New York cause I have problems with my sleep’ – no sleep for the whole journey but flowers, champagne, bundles of hugs and cried a sea full of tears at the final hurdle. Family, friends, strangers with all the support in the world I couldn't have done it without the love so a HUGE, maaahhousive thank you!!! Very emotional, I cannot describe how sick I felt walking endlessly through the night (thought this would be the easiest, I am a night owl) but so many ambulances picking people up, 700 people dropping out of the challenge; invalids everywhere but bearing the pain and obstacle course; I completed 100k, 62.4 miles from London to Brighton! For Grandma and Grandad who live within, big love x

Background

Reality hit home when...

In one whole second your whole life can turn around... Reality is shock, quick, no control feeling totally helpless, within hours looking directly at a brain scan showing swelling- which in the matter of a night suddenly, progressively got worse.

You were extremely healthy, motivated, an inspiration Grandma; everyone thought you would live to 103 - from my birth you were part of daily routine.

Full of conversations as I was in the ambulance and sat by your hospital bed. Knowing you had lost movement for your left side of your body; you persisted to giggle whilst trying to lift your left leg! You were never ever alone and you never will be, I think of Grandad and you following me. You said we were your guardian angels and now we trust that you are ours.

The love yoü both blessed our entire family with will remain, whilst treasuring precious memories in a place so safe, our hearts, our heads - never ever possible to replace.

Grandma - 3 and a half years you lived without Grandad and now you can rekindle your 60+ years in marriage.

Losing the closest relatives words cannot explain distraught but I complete each challenge in loving memory for my doting Grandparents.
