Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to take on the challenge of hiking to Everest Base camp in August/September 2022, to raise money for Marie Curie. Me and  group of students from Swansea University will be hiking over a 15 day period, reaching a height of 5,545 meters above sea level. This will be approximately 7 hours of hiking each day through the breathtaking scenery of the Himalayas.

Marie Curie offer hands-on care to patients in need and their families, providing them with vital support through what is likely to the most devastating circumstances. While the majority of our lives have come to a sudden standstill, the front line nurses at Marie Curie continue to put themselves at risk to offer their support, that is needed now more than ever.

My goal is to raise £2,800 by the end of June, and I will be carrying out multiple different fundraising events and activities. I will be very grateful for any donations that can be made towards this cause, even a small donation will make a big difference to such a worthy cause.
