Story
What?
Spinal Research is the UK’s leading charity funding medical research around the world to develop effective treatments for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. Every year 1,000 people in the UK and Ireland are paralysed following an injury to their spinal cord. The charity receives no government funding and relies entirely on the support of the public to raise funds for its research.
Why?
Every year annabel, a company providing PA and administrative services (founded by Annabel B and her friend + colleague Annabel J) supports a different charity which is nominated by either an annabel consultant or client. Spinal Research was nominated by an annabel consultant whose husband has a spinal injury. Annabel B and Julia ran the first London Parks Half Marathon back in 2008 - it was their first half and they're still running!!
How?
Annabel is supporting Spinal Research this year in a number of ways. As well as a financial donation, the team will also provide hands-on support and raise funds through running events (like the Royal Parks Half) and other family-orientated activities.
Where will your donations go?
Our efforts, together with your generosity, will future proof new innovative medical research to ensure ground breaking changes in the field can continue to be achieved and positively impact the lives of those living with spinal injuries.
