Event: Royal Parks Half Marathon 2019, on 13 October 2019
This has quickly become one of CPT's biggest challenge events of the year, and we want you to join us! Over 16,000 runners take part in the event to conquer its spectacular 13.1 mile route through central London and four of its beautiful Royal Parks.

Story

Up until very recently, when asked if I ran, I would answer, 'For the bus and final boarding calls.'

Then 6 months ago a friend asked if I would join her in running the Royal Parks Half in support of Parkinson's, a disease afflicting her father and so many others.  Surprisingly I said yes.  Then Pascal volunteered to run alongside me and since then we've been training and running together to prepare.

This is my first foray into raising money for a cause and I hope you will support us and, in turn, The Cure Parkinson's Trust.

The Cure Parkinson's Trust is the only organisation in the UK solely dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's. CPT was founded in 2005 by four people living with the condition and so it takes a patient-centric approach to funding innovative projects and inspirational scientists to modify the progression of Parkinson's and to find a cure.At CPT, we believe we are closer than ever to new treatments. We are committed to funding research that for the first time will slow, stop or even reverse the progression of Parkinson's.
