Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 19th May I will be taking part in the Royal Windsor Half Marathon for the Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS). For those who know me, or even vaguely know me, you will know MS is a massive part of my life. My mum was diagnosed with the illness at the age of 24 and there has certainly been ups and downs in these years. Although she’s my mum, I’ve never met someone who’s so positive, brave and strong despite the challenges she faces. Everyone constantly tells me that my mum is lovely and I’m so lucky to have her and they are right. Therefore, this will be for you mum!
My target is to raise £200.. Athough this seems a lot to me, £200 would allow only one hour of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner use. MRI scanning is a crucial technique used to create a detailed image of the brain and spinal cord. They’re currently funding projects that use MRI scanners to monitor clinical trials and understand MS in more detail. Therefore if it allows one person to find out more about this disease and help them, then running 13 miles will be very worthwhile.
Thank you.
