Just a little over 6 years ago I was diagnosed with a serious brain and spine condition and I was told that there was every chance that it would paralyse me or mean losing my beautiful baby girl. If you know me, then you will also know that I never gave up. And after undergoing major brain surgery performed by a genius, I have now almost recovered. And like her Mummy - Lucia never gave up either!

We are both so lucky to be here and now I owe it to all those people out there who helped to make a difference and helped me to make sense of what was happening. Charities like Spinal Research rely on charitable donations in order to be able to help people like me make it through.

I'm just an ordinary girl trying to make a difference.
