Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please help me raise £250 for Dogs Trust. I am taking part in the British 10k London Run on Sunday 1st July.
By joining the 10k team I have agreed to raise at least £250 for Cindy and the tens of thousands of other dogs that need our help.
Formerly known as the National Canine Defence League, the Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity. They rehome dogs with loving new owners. In their rehoming centres they care for dogs who have no owners, for dogs whose owners are in hospital long term, for dogs whose owners are fleeing dometic violence, to name but a few. They also do a lot of work on dog welfare issues. Last year they campaigned against the Animal Rights Bill which still allowed the docking of dogs' tails in certain circumstances.
Cindy is my sponsor dog - I give Dogs Trust money each month to help pay for Cindy's care in their rehoming centre in Newbury, Berkshire. She was a stray in Turkey who was brought here by a couple who met her on holiday. This tomboy couldn't adapt to domestic life but is now blossoming, living an outdoors life at the centre getting very dirty, getting very wet and living every dog's dream.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Dogs Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
