Story
Hi, and Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page. I’m running the London Marathon to raise as much money as possible for Poole Hospital. I have chosen this charity for a very special reason. In May 2015, my lovely cousin Ben Miles was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma. He had a tumour in his chest the size of an American football. He had no idea. It was a scary time to say the least. This meant that he had 6 months of chemo at Poole Hospital followed by a 3 week intensive radiotherapy course to zap anything that was left.
From the minute Ben went to Poole Hospital to the minute he rang ‘that bell’ at his last chemo session, Poole Hospital were amazing. The nurses in the chemo ward especially were his heroes. The care he received was incredible, which in turn kept us all positive that he could beat this horrible disease.
My daughter Isabela, my two nieces and Ben’s two children Mylo and Summer were all born there, I can’t state enough what this place means to us all as a family. Thankfully, Ben is now into year 4 of remission and we want to give something back to the hospital that has given us literally everything. They saved his life!
I’m running the London Marathon in April and If you could be so kind as to sponsor me I’d really appreciate it.
Thank you, Annalea x
