My Father (pictured above with me as a teenager!) died in July after suffering from Alzheimers and vascular dementia for 10 years. 10 years! It's horrendous. The money raised will help support other families in Scotland who are dealing with dementia. 

SO...... 

I will be running The Marathon De Sables in April 2019. The Marathon de sables is a multi stage, self sufficient ultramarathon across The Sahara. I will run six marathons in five days with everything I need on my back....apart from water and salt tablets which are provided. I don't really like running or the heat but I'm sure it will be amazing fun. (not really) 

I am self funding and ALL monies raised will go to Alzeimers Scotland. 

Part of my entry fee also goes toward a charity in Morocco which helps children and their mothers to read and write. So that's good too.
