Male Cancer Awareness Campaign is an award winning innovative small charity. We produce award winning life saving awareness campaigns by inspiring hugely talented volunteers to support each project. Help us raise awareness and reduce embarrassment of male cancers. Help us save more lives.

Story

Thank you for your interest in the Male Cancer Awareness Campaign. We are only a two and a half year old charity who does things differently. We focus purely on awareness and education, as the majority of people who die from cancer could be reduced if they recognised and treated symptoms early on. As a charity we have a very difficult task of trying to capture the attention of men aged 17-70 years old. With competition from lynx, Ferrari and playboy this is a tough effort for a small charity. However, with innovative ideas and lots of passion we have managed to reach millions of men across the UK. Examples of events which we have done include fundraising at Somerset Cricket Club with our mascot Mr Testicles, Mr Testicles hitch-hiking from Lands Ends to John O Groates, taking penalties at an Everton Premiership game to a sold out ground. Our activities gave us the privilege to be nominated as Britain Most Admired Charity by our peers in charity sector last year. The charity is run purely by talented and enthusiast volunteers which provides us with invaluable experience and allow us to provide such an admired charity. Our values of supporting young talent are mutually beneficial as we can have the best products at a low cost whilst young people gain their experience for projects. An example of our recent support of young talent can be seen as we have secured a week work experience for a young person at Morris and Charles Saatchi marketing agency in exchange for total rebranding of our charity.
As a charity we are very unique in that we deal with all types of male cancer, many of which are very ‘unsexy’ particularly that of bowel cancer. While testicular cancer is a deadly serious topic, it is somewhat sexy compared to bowel cancer. Last year 76 young men lost their lives to testicular cancer with 1400 new cases however, 10,000 lost their lives to bowel cancer with 21,617 new cases in men. We tackle all male cancer issues; with bowel cancer being the taboo topic as nobody is talking about it awareness is needed so much more.
10,000 lose their lives every year to bowel cancer yet with education early detection and early treatment means that the survival rates could be much high. Bowel cancer is the only cancer proven with a change in life style (such as diet and exercise can reduce the effects.)
Our campaign is fun; using James Bond as our inspiration we have 9 women who are fundraising to become the next Bum-girls. We hope to grow this even every year to raise as much awareness to bowel cancer and reduce the amount of deaths to the most taboo of cancers. We are using strong and sexy woman to get the message across in a way that will appeal to men and women alike.

We are seeking funding for a new website which will allow us to be a sustainable charity with little staff. The charity will use the images from our Bum –girls shoot, which will also be a calendar. We are estimating that our new web site will be seen by over 200,000 people each year. As the main sponsor the web site will be brought to you by your company as well as links to your website.
Your donation will saves thousands of lives and allow families to spend more time together.
