I’ve chosen to support My Life Films because, from experience of looking after my gran when she had dementia, it’s an illness that progressively causes great anxiety, sadness and isolation for the sufferer. There’s very little that family and friends can do to help a dementia sufferer, and we really can’t relate to their internal world and turmoil. 

The films that My Life Films create for dementia sufferers can bring so much joy by triggering happy memories and helping the sufferer reconnect with the outside world. They also allow younger family members and carers to see the real person beneath the illness; it honours who the person has been and what they’ve done.
