Story

I have been given the opportunity to ride in a horse race at Wetherby Racecourse on the 28th October, in support of the British Horse Society! Having worked on the marketing side of horse racing for the past few years, I'm excited to be on the horse this time rather than behind the phone/laptop.

The BHS' 2022 Charity Races raise funds for the vital work of the charity. To help raise funds for the BHS, I have opted to take up the reins to ride in a race at Wetherby Racecourse. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and offers me the chance to be in the thick of it as we head to the starting line and race eight furlongs around a famous race course.

Although I ride regularly, I have never as much as sat on a racehorse so this will be a huge challenge, and I will be training hard to meet the fitness demands, as well as fundraising my target of £2500. I will be supporting the BHS Second Chance project, which is a fantastic cause and helps many neglected or mistreated horses to find a brighter future.

Thank you for your support!
