On the 29th April it will be 5 years since Malcolm suffered a cardiac arrest at Charlton FC.
As Malcolm's sister there is not a day that passes without me thanking God for letting Ryland be at that match and giving immediate CPR. Without him Malcolm would not have made such an amazing recovery.
From the moment he arrived at St. Thomas' Malcolm was given first class care by the team of dedicated doctors and nurses and it was them that nursed him back to good health.
Not once did they give up on him. Yes there were times when we were gravely concerned for his recovery but with their care and the devotion of his wife and daughters he made it.
It is now pay back time and I am looking to raise £1000 for the Coronary Care Unit at the hospital who not only care from Malcolm but also my beautiful 92 year old mum who had by-pass surgery there in 2004 and still has regular check ups.
My employer will give me £250 if I can raise £250 myself so this will get me off to a great start.
I'm asking all my wonderful family and friends if you would please make a small donation to this great cause.
Even £1 would get me on my way.
I'm sorry to ask but the work of this unit needs to be celebrated.
Thankyou so much.
