Story

Last Autumn my elder grandson, Alex suggested that we should do the Hastings Half Marathon in memory of his Grandma Chris who died in 2017. I seem to have agreed and have finally got around to doing some training. I am,  you will not be surprised to hear, walking not running.

As many of you know we last did the Hastings Half as part of a much bigger family group in 2019.  This time we are raising funds for a local charity, The Sara Lee Trust.

The Trust supports hundreds of people every year in Hastings and Rother who are affected by cancer and other life threatening illnesses by providing free specialist counselling, complementary therapy care and therapeutic group activities.

During Chris’s last months both she and her husband John had several sessions of complementary therapy provided by the Trust. Chris loved these sessions and felt so well cared for by the therapists.

I am aware that there are so many appeals but hope that you will feel able to contribute to this worthwhile cause.
