In 2013, my very good friend Tracey lost her 18 year old son to meningitis. A tragic loss of such a young life. Last year I completed the 1 mile Great North Swim. It was no easy feat but this year I'm going to try and go one better - 2 miles! Any donations would be gratefully received. Meningitis Now are working to research and provide vaccinations to help prevent this disease and in just the last few months 2 new vaccines have been introduced.
