Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page.
Well it should of been the Great Wall of China Trek in October 2020 but that was unfortunately cancelled. I was also hoping to Walk the Cornish Coastal Challenge in May 2021with my little sis (Fran Silk) accompanying me .....now that has also been cancelled!
So the big event now is running the London Marathon on October 3rd this year, having secured a place for Sue Ryder, Manorlands (along with our Sean ). Although excited, I’ve a lot of running miles to put in before then just to make sure I get round. It’s 23years since I last ran it, will I be able to do it again? Hopefully so.
My story as to why I am doing all of this is below.......
Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope is a charity close to my heart as many of you know providing high quality palliative care for patients and there carers. What they do at Manorlands is just remarkable for all patients and families who go there, so in you helping me meet my TOTAL, you are really providing support for this important work.
I have supported Manorlands for years but this year I want to do something special and raise as much money as I can. I will be organising and hosting a number of events over the year as well as challenging myself...... so there will be some running and walking as well as lots of baking, making jams and chutneys......so I hope that some of you will come along to some of these events taking place over the year and join me in trying to make a difference to the lives of others.
