Anne and Helena are walking the Rob Roy Way in 4 days

Rob Roy Way in 4 days · 22 May 2022
We are walking the Rob Roy Way in 4 days to help raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Care.
It's an 82.5 mile cross country trek from Drymen to Pitlochry.
It starts on Sunday 22nd May and finishes on Wednesday 25th May 2022.
The route begins through the forests of the Trossachs before a long stretch of cycleway leads through fine glens to Killin. From here the route climbs high into the hills before descending to follow the quiet and attractive road along the southern shores of Loch Tay. The main route then takes in a fine terrace with magnificent views before descending to Aberfeldy, before the final stretch along the river to Grandtully and over the moors to Pitlochry.
Our itinerary will be:
Day 1 - Drymen to Aberfoyle to Callander - 21.5 miles
Day 2 - Callander to Strathyre to Killin - 24 miles
Day 3 - Killin to Ardtalnaig to Aberfeldy - 23.5 miles
Day 4 - Aberfeldy to Grandtully to Pitlochry - 13.5 miles
So we have some very long walking days in front of us……but we have been out training hard since October 2021 to ensure we are fit enough to complete this challenge.
