For those who know me, running is not a forte of mine. I decided to challenge myself and raise money for a cause that is close to my heart. My job involves protecting children and the vulnerable in society, and I frequently have to deal with reports of child abuse. In 2018, 61,500 children in the UK were on child protection registers or subject to child protection plans.

I believe it is so important that as a society we support those who have been victims of abuse and work together to protect children.
