Hello all, thank you for taking the time to view this page, I have signed up to the 200 mile cycle event to raise money for the Butterfly Cornwall project.

The Butterfly Cornwall project aims to improve the way patients and their loved ones spend their last days together. Your kind donations allow the Palliative Care and End of Life team to purchase additional equipment, improve and enhance rooms used for patients at end of life, provide some added home comforts and in some cases make a 'Rainbow Day' happen meeting a patients special wishes. Sadly, many people will be in hospital at the end of their life and our initiative acts to improve the quality of that time.

On signing up to this challenge, I hope to support this fantastic charity by raising vital funds,  personally - to improve fitness and meet new people and explore Cornwall on wheels. We will be cycling 200 miles over a period of 3 days, with a route planned to start in Plymouth, heading to Bude and down the North Coast to Lands End. 

This is the second year this event has taken place, proving very successful last year for those taking part and funds raised, please support if you can, cheer me on and help raises funds for our patients. 

Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity has recently funded:

Grants to over 100 teams to help them through Covid 19 - additional equipment for staff rooms, furniture and enhancements.

- Bluetooth speakers to provide personalised music in bed spaces for patients on our Dementia ward.

- A research nurse for the Oncology Research Team.

- A laser resectoscope, doubling the number of procedures performed per week.
