I am going to be swimming 1 mile in big cold Lake Windermere with 2000 strangers to raise money for Cancerbackup in celebration of my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary.  For the last year Mum has faced and continues to face a constant battle with Non-Hogdkin's Lymphoma and Dad has been a brilliant full time carer, house keeper and cross word partner. Not a great way to start retirement together (except maybe the crossword bit.)

As a family we have relied heavily on the information we get from Cancerbackup and the support of the MacMillan Nurse.  To give something back I plan to do something a little crazy in our local lake.
