Story
It’s done!! After two years of waiting, I finally completed the Great North Run on Sunday in 2:05. It was hot and hilly but a great atmosphere. Thank you to everyone for your amazing support – I am heading towards the £5,000 mark in terms of sponsorship for British Heart Foundation which is an incredible amount and coupled with the money we raised earlier in the year for our Freshfields Wear It Red day, the total amount we’ve raised in Stephen’s memory is £9,433. Just fantastic.
========================================================
On Sunday 13th September 2015 I will be taking part in the world's leading half marathon, the Morrisons Great North Run.
Unfortunately I had to withdraw my 2014 entry due to a metatarsal fracture in my right foot. I promise, there will be no such drama this year!!
All donations from 2014 have been rolled over and will be combined with monies raised this year. The aim is to raise as much as possible for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my wonderful husband Stephen following his sudden and unexpected death in November 2013.
One in four of our loved ones are lost to heart and circulatory disease. All funds raised will go to help fund life-saving research to help keep more hearts beating. Every pound raised will help make a difference to people's lives. Please join the fight for every heartbeat.
