Our Scout group is one of the newest groups in the City of Newcastle, which only become established in November 2017. We pride ourselves on providing fun, friendship and importantly teaching #SkillsForLife to over 30 young people in Byker and the surrounding areas. We aim to make scouting as inclusive to all children from all backgrounds as possible and to do this require funds for equipment and activities to ensure that all families are able to afford to participate and no one is ever excluded. We had just began to set up the foundations of our group in terms of fundraising and getting the much needed equipment for the group, such as holding Christmas Fayres and bag packing. However, due to the COVID19 pandemic, we are unable to hold such events. This campaign hopes to raise some of the funds we could have lost due to not being able to hold such fundraising events. Please help us to continue to provide #SkillsForLife to as many local young people as we can.
